About Davis, California

Davis is a small college community (population about 50,000), located in Yolo County in California's Central Valley, about 75 miles inland from San Francisco and 15 miles from the state capital of Sacramento.

Airport Transportation

Sacramento Airport (SMF) is about 20 miles from Davis and San Francisco Airport (SFO) is about 90 miles from Davis.

A reservation is made, but the passenger is to call Davis Airporter upon arrival at the airport for instructions.

Amtrak/BART connection from San Francisco airport to Davis
Take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit underground system) From SFO to Richmond. Transfer to Capitol Corridor Amtrak train from Richmond to Davis. Be sure to check BART/Amtrak schedules! This is not a good option for traveling late in the day.

Parking on Campus

A valid UCD permit is required for parking on campus. Daily visitor permits are available at permit dispensing machines in Visitor Parking lots for $9 per day.
