Research interests and expertise:

Small RNAs, regulation of gene expression, microRNAs and their biogenesis, phased small interfering RNAs, in maize, wheat, rice, soybean, Arabidopsis, and other crops and model species. Plant evolution. Reproductive biology, focused on anther development. Genomics tools and technologies. Genome informatics.
